Ficus Benjamona "Weeping Fig"
Ficus Benjamina makes an excellent house plant because it is easy to care for and beautiful too. It is often referred to as a Weeping Fig.
It has gently hanging branches covered with lush green glossy leaves, it has the added benefit of offering air purification and the plant absorbs many different toxins from the air including ammonia, formaldehyde, xylene and toluene. This really does mean that the plant is good for you!
Place in bright indirect or filtered light, avoid direct sun light as it may result in scalding of the leaves and leaf loss. It also won't tolerate draughts.
Water only when the top of the soil feels dry to the touch, do not allow the plant to sit in water as it will rot it's roots.
Regular misting or setting the ficus tree on a pebble tray filled with water is a great way to increase their humidity.
